Matchup of the Week Highlights
Week 4 features Hanover Area vs Mid Valley Football Game on Friday September 16th, 2016. The Hawkeyes found a way to defeat the Spartans 36-35 behind a monster game from Brandon Chafin, including two touchdown passes to Brandon Brueckner. Zach Fiume was a force for the Spartans but the Hawkeyes were one point better thanks to a heads up play by JJ Hooper and 2 point conversion from Josh Jopling for the Hawkeyes.
Week 1 John Mendola gives you highlights of the Dallas vs Coughlin Matchup of the Week. The Crusaders defeated Dallas Area 20-7 behind Vincent Todd's two touchdowns of 80 (reception) and 75 yards (reverse).
Week 3 presents the Matchup of the week as Dallas Area travels to Pittston Area. The Mountaineers defeated the Patriots 24-6. Both teams played hard, but the turnovers went in favor of the Mountaineers. Dallas Area travels to Scranton Prep while Pittston Area will play Valley View at home.
Week 2 featured Carbondale Area vs Old Forge on Friday Night football. Insight, highlights, and interviews of the game brought to you by John Mendola. Old Forge defeated Carbondale Area 20-14 in an entertaining game that matched teams with talent on both sides of the ball. This week, the Chargers travel to Mid Valley and Old Forge welcomes Montrose.
Week 6 highlights of the North Pocono vs West Scranton. Tamon Brown scored 4 touchdowns for the Invaders, but it was a team effort and the biggest win for Brian Fahey's career thus far. West Scranton is already focusing on Valley View this weekend, as the Cougars and Invaders will be a 'coin flipper' on Friday.
Week 5 Scranton Prep vs Wyoming Area. Scranton Prep got a great defensive effort from the front 8 including Braden Burrier, Kyle Mcallister, Kyle Polishan, Ivan Balavage, Max Borgia and crew. Offensively, the Cavaliers were led by Ricky Morgan's 148 yards on the ground along with (QB) Jake Ryan's leadership and WR's Mario Giannone & Tommy Doherty's ability to find open space. With the win, Prep improved to 4-1 and the Warriors were given their first loss of the year.
